Working @the Speed of Thought.
Apple has always been the leader when it comes to manufacturing laptops. Their MacBook
Pro has set the bar too high. It is nearly impossible to find something to dislike about it.
The Apple MacBook Pro (16-inch) when kitted out with the latest in Apple silicon, it sets a new high-water mark for MacBook performance.
When you factor in its comfy keyboard, great speakers, and 15+ hours of battery life on a single charge, the MacBook Pro 2021 (16-inch) is already a strong contender for one of the best MacBook’s on the market and one of the best laptops today, period.
Let us look at the most outstanding features of this creation.
• The build quality:
Apple has always been the design guru when it comes to laptops with class, they did an
awesome job on this specific brand, and we can safely say that they outdid themselves. The
design is sleek, light and sturdy enough. It cannot be damaged easily and will not wear off
quickly especially for those who write a lot. The keyboard is superb, the best I have seen yet.
• The Mac-OS:
The Mac-OS is the definition of brilliance. It is very refined, uniform with a really good
performance grid. The Mac-OS comes first when comparing to others. The fact that there are
so many apps on the Mac store is just an added advantage.
• The performance:
This is the most important aspect for anyone looking to buy a laptop. The M1 Max is the most powerful piece of silicon Apple’s ever put in a MacBook, and it shows. When the 16-inch MacBook Pro review unit and its M1 Max chip were put to the test in the Geekbench 5.4 multi-core performance benchmark, it earned a solid score of 12,683. That’s an outstanding result, magnificent even, and one that’s higher than just about any laptop ever tested using the same benchmark. Not only does it far outperform almost every Windows ultraportable, including the Dell XPS 15 OLED (7,477), our 16-inch Pro also easily trounced gaming laptops like the Razer Blade 15 Advanced (6,662) and the Maingear Vector Pro (8,786). The MacBook Pro has a beautiful new Liquid Retina XDR display makes just about everything you do on it look good, and the 1080p webcam up top helps you look really good on video calls with friends and colleagues.
Macs may not have a reputation for being top-tier gaming machines, but the 32-core GPU M1 Max in our 16-inch MacBook Pro review unit gives it enough power to handle most any game you throw at it.
Design:
The 16-inch MacBook Pro 2021 has been redesigned in subtle but significant ways. It measures 14.01 x 9.77 x 0.66 inches and weighs 4.7 pounds (4.8 if you splurge for an M1 Max model), ideally, it is the same size and just a smidge thicker than the Intel-based 16-inch Pro it replaces. The 100% recycled aluminum chassis has a flatter lid than its predecessor, with vents carved out of either side in service of an improved cooling solution and a redesigned 6-speaker sound system inside. The 16.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display framed by bezels that are just over 20% thinner at the sides and roughly 60% thinner along the top are just beautiful.
Ports:
The manufacturer did away with the Touch Bar and brought back the MagSafe charging port, notably, the port array has been expanded with a few ports content creators could really use, it feels like this could easily be the best laptop for video editing you can buy right now.
Battery life:
One can consistently use this machine for up-to to 12 hours. If you are doing office work,
browsing and responding to mails or online shopping, this will give you a maximum of 12
hours. Most machines go for a maximum up to 8 hours.
It is true that no machine is perfect and Apple can reclaim their falling glory by fixing a few
things on their laptops
• The Display:
The 16.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display in the new 16-inch MacBook Pro is one of the most beautiful screens ever seen in a laptop. It’s a bright, vibrant mini-LED display, just like the one we marveled at in the 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2021, except this one offers a 3456 x 2234 resolution with Apple’s ProMotion adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Just be aware that not all apps support it yet, although it’s looking like it’s about to come to Safari.
• Games:
Macs may not have a reputation for being top-tier gaming machines, but the 32-core GPU M1 Max in our 16-inch MacBook Pro review unit gives it enough power to handle most any game you throw at it. A little struggle here and there but definitely worth trying out.
Conclusion;
Can I recommend this laptop? Yes! It is a great laptop for working with. The software is great, the weight is okay and the speed is perfect. Apple’s MacBook Pro 2021 (16-inch) is an across-the-board upgrade that delivers best-in-class performance.
