What Shall We Eat?!
If more of us valued food and cheer
and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.”
~J. R. R. Tolkien
This Christmas, many have little to celebrate.
Let’s admit it, many have lost a lot this year; we lost people that we
loved. We lost things that we loved. We lost places that we loved. I know a lot
of people who lost family and friends, jobs, homes, we all lost hope at some
point.
I lost people that I loved, and the thought of celebrating Christmas brings
an ache with it. But that does not mean I will not celebrate. I know my loved
ones would want me to celebrate, they’d want me to wear a bright smile and
acknowledge the spirit and melody of the season with heart. They’d want me to
put on a Santa hat and spread laughter, this season only comes once a year.
